Sunday Lunch

Yesterday Jess and I went to visit Wendy and Harry in Pollockshields. Such a lovely time. We went for a walk to Pollock Garden to see the Burrell Collection. The walk through the woods was really cool. And there were some bagpipers practicing among the trees. How Scottish. The collection was pretty magnificent. Mr Burrell liked to collect things, and then in the 50s he gave his collection to the city. Everything from Mesopotamian stamp seals to Greek pottery to 15th century armoury... ridiculous.

Favourite thing in the park... all the highland coooooos!!!
Look how cute they are! George, Wendy's nephew, did not understand the gleeful squeals Jess and I made every time we saw one. Look at the baby! They are so cute when they prance.
There were Clydesdale horses too! This one is called Baron.

Then we went back to Wendy and Harry's house and had an amazing Sunday lunch. So yummy. Olives and wine too! Wendy and Harry have been very very generous while Ive been here. I am really grateful. We sat around and chatted and drank wine and all of a sudden it was 11 o'clock. Ridiculous.
Wendy, me and Harry, and George and Grant at the back. Grant is Harry's (nephew?) from Shetland. Turns out Shetlanders have the same sense of humour. The cab ride back was funny. The four of us - all rather jolly - Grant mocking my accent - and the cab driver trying to join in... it was ridiculous.

Jess and I didn't go home straight away, we went and had a drink in the Oran Mor and lamented about our time here coming to an end. Less than a week left in Glasgow. Mental!
